Prior to his arrival in Dubai, Dr. Bunker was the Aerospace
Partner of a major Canadian law firm in Montreal, with which he was associated
for over thirty years, specializing in international, commercial and aerospace
law representing clients such as the Royal Bank of Canada, Air Canada,
Emirates, Air Mauritius, Wardair, Tarom Romanian Airlines, Aeroflot, International
Lease Finance Corporation, Bank of Montreal, Quebecair, Lithuanian Airlines
and many other well-known financial institutions, airlines, leasing companies
and manufacturers, Some of the other aspects of Dr. Bunker's career are
as follows:
- Holder
of an economics degree and three law degrees, including a Doctor of
Civil Law degree from McGill University (aerospace finance law);
- Published
numerous books and articles with respect to aerospace finance and insurance
law and economics including The Law of Aerospace Finance in Canada,
which has been distributed internationally, and Canadian Aviation Finance
Legislation;
- Currently
serves as a Professor of Law at the McGill University of Air and Space
Law teaching aerospace finance law;
- Currently
serves as a Visiting Professor teaching aerospace finance in the International
MBA Program at Concordia University in Montreal sponsored by IATA;
- Lectured
at the International Space University for a number of years and was
director of its faculty of Business and Management;
- Regularly
participates as a guest lecturer at numerous universities, institutions
and conferences on finance law (Islamic and non-Islamic);
- Advisor
to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO);
- Is a
member of:
