- John McGill
is a well-known and respected Canadian airline executive whose career
in aviation started with a tour of duty in the Royal Canadian Air Force.
His early career was spent in sales with Canadair and Trans Canada Airlines
- two of the pre-eminent aviation institutions in Canada, the latter
being the predecessor to Air Canada.
- Mr. McGill
spent twenty-five years at Air Canada where he rose to become Executive
Vice-President and during which time he was seconded to Air Jamaica
as its President. He was also seconded to Air Transit as its President
and Chairman.
- His directorships
have included Guiness Peat Aviation (now G.P.A.), Innocan, Nordair and
Innotech Aviation.
- Industry
appointments include I.A.T.A. Traffic Committee, I.A.T.A. Policy Committee,
Air Transport Association of Canada and Air Industries Association of
Canada.
